Mountain Jam is from Savannah Georgia and is rightfully called a southern lager. On the nose, it has an astringent smell, making it appear sour or bitter. It is pale yellow in color with a little haze. The head's thick and white and lasts for a good amount of time. The flavor is light in hops and incredibly smooth. I think the flavor is well balanced, but the hoppiness throws it off a little. Dry and bitter on the palate, the finish doesn't last long and the after-taste is quite dry. It leaves your tongue feeling like it has a sweater on. Perfect for a cold evening on a mountain.
